I am not sure, but maybe having the company of awesome judo blockmates (original + adoptee, yet still the same) fueled my burning interest for judo.
Although this martial art leans on the rough side, whatever fierceness we have on the mats just reflects our genuine intention to have fun. (In a seemingly violent way :> )

The good part is, you'll learn by facing one of the bests.

We know how to chill, but then that means having to stay for another half-hour to practice our moves.
You just gotta love Judo.

Now, I'm becoming sentimental, aren't I? It's not just me, my other blockmates are now having that nostalgic feeling even if our last judo class has just ended. Why? I cannot tell exactly what it is. The block? The fun? That feeling at the end of the class when you get to throw/you get thrown because you learn something new, which will be of your advantage when you are facing the next situation in the future. Or maybe Judo's just awesome. And maybe the varsity guys too, they're just heavenly nice. That wow feeling when you find yourself facing (and talking) to a black belter and not sensing any disparity in your levels, although you have a long way to go. And maybe the coach also? That cool coach who never stops cheering/encouraging his students to pursue a reap/throw/pin when they are on the brink of accomplishing such. Or maybe the wi-fi and air-con of dojo. Or maybe all of these and more.
There are just lots of things to miss.
