Basically, we are to use PostSecret entries as our prompts for creative writing - fiction, non-fiction, drama or poetry. While I got so hyped up due to the influx of ideas that were popping up in my head every time I viewed a certain PostSecret image, one entry halted my momentum for a minute - long enough for my eyes to well up with tears. (My younger brother checked what could possibly be the reason for my sudden emotional state - which rarely occurred - and when he saw the screen, he gave me a blank look.)
But honestly, wouldn't you be struck upon seeing this image?
(taken from http://www.postsecret.com/; included in the compilation of Writerskill's writing prompts)In my opinion, it wasn't even the finest in aesthetic terms, but really something about this (even if the message didn't run parallel with my real life) made it stand out from the lot.
That is not to say this will be my piece for the activity - although it's a strong contender. I'm still picking as of the moment.
