Rambled Mind
because I'm nearly drowning in my overflowing thoughts.

Another Thought of Mine

I regretted my decision. It was a month ago but it was only yesterday I have contemplated over it. One parish representative invited me to be a vote watcher. Unforunately, you need to be a 15-year old. I was one year younger. Second my father, who happened to have some connections with NAMFREL, also offered me to be a youth volunteer. Sadly, I refused. And now I still can't believe I had let go of the opportunity that I wanted so badly now. I like to do something for our country even in small things. I get inspired by youths, who at a very young age, are able to show their love for country. I realized I wanted to be like them.

It's sad to know that many Filipinos are already hopeless about our country. I understand them. With many people with not enough salary, homeless people and people who really need a great health support and many more, it's hard not to blame the government for those things that are happening. For those who are narrow-minded and are just up to see the faults of government, they just blame the administration for every miserable thing that's happening to our country. Not that I'm pro-administration, of course, they have many shortcomings but let's come to think of it, is it only the administration's fault? Maybe it's time to look ourselves at the mirror again. Did you pay the taxes? Have you done something illegal? Have you done your responsibility to our country? I'm not imposing that people who complain don't do their par, it's just that I feel, as a citizen in Philippines, that it's not only the government who have something to fix about, maybe it's time to do our part as well.

*I'm not expecting a clean election, and for those who are thinking that there will be no cheating, I'll say, sorry guys, you are dreaming. With all the buzz around that vote buying is prominent, armed forces ordered to vote straight for team unity, and candidates using more resources to get more votes, it is not hard to think there will be cheating. I am afraid that the will come where in the true voice of Filipino will not be heard anymore and those who do dirty tactics to get to the position they wanted will prevail. (Although it happens.) And although I can't give a solution to this cheating thing, I want to say especially to those who are concerned, hopeless, and who don't even care, let's try to do something, together we can make a change, although it sounds tiring, I know that someday we will see a good future.

++I wish for a peaceful and honest (even close to honest) election....
