A Teens Opinion on This Coming Election

Elections are coming and what more can I do than watch these candidates make another false promises to the people. Well, it seems to me. I'm just a mere 14-year old girl who can't vote but can actually tell what our country needs. In my own point of view of course. I may not know a thing on bills and legislation but it's obvious to many that we need honest and responsible leaders. Leaders who will find a way on how, at least, to easy the burden of Filipinos here and around the world.

I do not know how I ended up making this post, I was joking myself with this kind of thought yesterday but I did become certain about it after I watched a segment where in there was a command to the soldiers to vote for some senatorial candidates, actually not some, but for the Team Unity senatoriables. This thing was named Oplan Mercury Rising. And then there were memos and other stuffs. I mean after what happened to them after the "Hello, Garci" and then this one? Shame on you if these rumors are true.

Back to those who are running for a position, I just wish that every promise you told the people on your meeting de avance and on the television, you make sure that you mean it and you'll do it. We're just hoping a positive change in our government for there are other elected persons who seem to forget what their positions are for and what they were elected for. They are blinded by temptation that they are not focusing on their responsibilities but to the stuff that will serve their own welfare.

I watched "Isang Tanong" last Sunday at GMA and somehow I noticed that there were some senatoriables who seem to have no idea of what they were running for. And I said to myself, "They are just making fools out of themselves." Think about Victor Wood who sadly, isn't considered a nuisance candidate and that other guy who keeps telling about the stealing done in the government, although maybe they have somehow a good thing in their minds, its hard to believe they were pretty ready to take the senator position and I think they can hardly make a change and worse, they would just goof around the senate. And for the other candidates, just make sure you are worth every vote every Juan Dela Cruz will make. Don't just think of flourishing your wealth, men. We need great leaders today that will make a way to stabilize our country together with my fellow countrymen.

And for the voters also, vote wisely. Don't give in to their commands to vote for certain people and to offers. Follow your heart. Do vote for someone who will be capable of fulfilling his promises to the people. Don't be blinded by black propagandas. Let us be an instrument of truth amidst all the lies flying around. I'm still hoping.

That's all what I think I can do. Reminding people of what's right or wrong. Someday, I'll do my duty to the country. Someday.
