Strengthened Bonding

Camaraderie is too great a word to describe a group relationship. It takes time, experience and solidarity despite the differences each members have. It is tested by struggles, that may either break the group apart or solidify the bond between them. Whichever way you put it, it all comes to the fact that this word is usually the summit for people whose relationship with each other have trust, faith and unity.

This term I encountered just awhile ago when we had our practice for the coming eliminations for our Carol Fest. The number of my classmates who attended are great and although others did not make it, it was nice to know that many were cooperative for the success of this endeavor. We went to Fort Bonifacio, courtesy of Rudolph, and even if we started late, at the end of the day we were able to accomplish the purpose of the day: to sing the contest piece "Diwa ng Pasko."

Being observant as I always were, there were many things that amazed me (and amused too!) me.

*There's always a child in all of us.
This became evident during breaks and when we were about to go home, where everyone seemed to be eager about playing and they rushed to the swing, see-saws, and the monkey bars.

*There's always a vain side in all of us.
Vanity!! It seems like everyone were screaming to have their pictures taken! Except for Joyce. Krister can't stop muttering about someone taking pictures (because he was like posing every time.) And I was surprised by Donna Kay, she simply said, when are we gonna have our pictures taken? And when the camera phone starts functioning, all the weirdest and cutest poses are proudly shown!

*We have to nudge (a little harder please!) our talents to release them off.
I believe that every person has got a talent or talents, but in our case, we had to tap it with a greater force just to show them off. It took us hours before we got to know our right tunes, and I think a few more days to perfect the blending of our unique voices. Exceptions for Suzanne, Miguel and David, who made practicing a way lot easier for all of us.

*Everyone became closer.
With almost one day for us to kill in practicing, we actually bonded, and became closer, figuratively, when we played and ate and talked with each other, and LITERALLY, when we were cramped up like sardines in Rudolph's van (for we were 22 + Erchelle's chaperone.) And +2 when we went home. But nevertheless, it was super fun.

*Broken ends were mended.
Through a conversation initiated by Donna Kay which ended in a open forum about her, she was able to tell us her feelings and situation and the same way goes for us too. The riff between her and David ended in a way of sincere apologies. But David wasn't only the one to apologize, we did too. The only one to negotiate about is about her and Michelle.

*Support is a must for every group.
In a disclosure of opinions, Chris told that partly of the indifference of Burbank toward Donna Kay was caused by us too, who judged her quickly and did not consider her part. All of us learned, that in order for us to have a healthy and happy relationship, we must, firstly, support each other.

*Today is a happy day and day of "firsts."
Today is the first time I became one of the early birds, and my first time to hang out with my classmates closely. Nothing wrong happened and we just lived every second to the fullest with each other. I could say, that it was not I alone who enjoyed, but all of us.

P.S. I was known awhile ago as the "Banana Girl," a girl who had a talent in picking delicious banana, and who wears yellow polo, which resembles the color of the bananas we ate.

P.P.S. I could carry Jeric, David and Alfonso. I could not believe it, I am strong!

P.P.P.S. I will hit the monkey bars very soon!

P.P.P.P.S. Jael may oras ka din sa 'kin!
